Our team decided to investigate how actively exchanges’re using fiat in the pair to crypto.

Only 300 out of more than 2,000 cryptocurrencies are traded for fiat USD on exchanges. At the same time, only 60 cryptocurrencies out of 300 are traded on more than 1 exchange for USD.

Less than 100 cryptocurrencies out of more than 2,000 are traded for fiat EUR on exchanges. Only 40 of these are traded on more than 1 exchange per EUR.

From this statistics, we can conclude that the cryptocurrency ecosystem largely remains a thing in itself.
